You may remember that a few weeks ago I wrote about the challenges of sending a non-shopping spouse to get groceries.
It happened again, and those of you who know Andrew won't be surprised to see what he brought home:

I guess if it's good enough for Jose Bautista, it's good enough for us.
(Apologies to my friends from Texas. I hope we can still be friends.)
Apparently I'm as predicable as my husband, though, because as soon as I saw those Golden Grahams in our cupboard, I knew what I was going to do with them. The last time I visited Aunt Barbara in California, she made a batch of these delicious and completely addictive treats. With three ingredients and about ten minutes in total to make them, they couldn't be easier.
Even Jose Bautista would flip for a recipe like this.

Aunt Barbara's Golden Graham treats
1 cup white chocolate chips
2 cups Golden Grahams
2 cups Golden Grahams
1/2 cup unsalted peanuts
Line a 9" x 13" pan or cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Melt the white chocolate chips, either on a stove over a double-boiler or in the microwave, heating for no more than 30 seconds at a time and stirring after each time.
Once the chocolate has melted, add Golden Grahams and peanuts. Stir well until completely mixed. Spread out on parchment paper-lined pan and set in the fridge until mixture has completely cooled. Break into pieces and store in the fridge or at room temperature.

Sounds delicious. I'll have to try them. And it was always dangerous to send my husband to the store too--especially Sam's or Costco. He used to get so much stuff we didn't need. Have a great Sunday!
P.S. I'm looking for some good chicken recipes if you have more to feature for a guy I'm dating. This vegetarian could use some help.
They look super. I don't think I have seen those Golden Grahams over here...
Natalie, I'll check my files and see if I have some favourites that I haven't posted yet. So happy to hear that you're dating!
I love these already! I don't know about Jose Bautista, but my kids are definitely gonna flip over them :)
LOL - love that you were able to get creative with your husband's more interesting shopping choices.
Such a fun post and wonderful recipe! I love easy treats and that cereal is perfect with peanuts and white chocolate. Your husband is funny! Mine never makes it home with the desired list but finds plenty of other things to enjoy :)
Bill will invariably pick up a frozen breakfast coffee cake. Does he not remember he's married to a food blogger??? ;) These Golden Grahams treats look wonderful!
haha - I think it's great that your husband brings home these unexpected things and you make treats like these! : ) Fun and tasty! Hope you're enjoying the Memorial Day weekend!
Looks like a delicious quick and easy treat, must be quite exciting and challenging to see what your husband comes home with next. Hehe!
I love cereal treats!
I love cereal treats!
Ha! That's funny! The treats sound delicious.
Love chocolate and peanuts! Throw some grahams in there, and I'm a happy camper. Really nice -- thanks.
My husband is a big fan of white chocolate! He would love this treat!
Looks fantastic, Beth. I love all types of chocoaltes and this is gonna make an awesome treat for me! D-licious.

Not much beats chocolate and peanuts, and with white chocolate your treat is a goodie! My hubby pretty much sticks to his list and would never pick up cereal, unfortunately.
To tell you the truth, I'd be happy to see a box of these in my pantry. I used to eat them when the kids were growing up and they were so good. Now i want to go to the grocery. Good snack, too!
I have never had this treat. It sounds tasty and so easy. :)
It can be interesting when someone else does the shopping!

It reminds me of my childhood... Looks so easy and tasty!
Sounds like my husband. Though I now have mine trained to call from the store. 2 items, 2 phone calls, 3 items, 3 calls on so on ;-)
Lol, Beth, I can relate:) If I ever sent Marion to the store by herself, oh my word, I can just imagine what that 96 year old (young) lady would come home with! (she's one of those "kids" that slips things into the shopping cart when I am with here, lol!
I love the notion of these sweetened up gold grahams, Beth...I can see why they would be addicting:)
Thank you so much for sharing...
I know nothing of Jose Bautista but could become very familiar with this treat :-)
